Born and raised in Oujda, Morocco, Chef Mourad Jamal grew up with a love for fresh food and the desire to share it with others. At 12 years old, he was cooking dinner for the family when his Mother or Grandmother were running late. By 15, he had his first job in a restaurant prepping before lunch and dinner. He continued his work in restaurants while attending culinary school.
